Solitude is essentially the discovery and acceptance of our uniqueness.

Solitude is not the denial of community or the escape from relationships.
Rather, the person most in touch with his or her inwardness is most prepared to share in authentic togetherness and to create, with others, authentic togetherness.
Community, then, ideally would be a group of solitudes interacting in a constant creation of communion expressing each one's aloneness.

Arem shares on the concept 'depth reciprocity' as the means of creating community by what he calls 'depth sharing,' which is an intimacy of mutual-affirmation of being and doing through two or more persons in commitment to validating and inspiring. He refers to this as 'Presence mirroring Presence.'
